Radon Testing

In 2005, the U.S. Attorney General stated that, "Indoor radon gas is the second-leading cause of lung cancer in the United States and breathing it over prolonged periods can present a significant health risk to families all over the country. It’s important to know that this threat is completely preventable. Radon can be detected with a simple test and fixed through well-established venting techniques."

Lead Paint and Asbestos Testing

Many studies confirm high-level exposure to asbestos leads to increased risk of lung cancer. If the building is older and built before 1970, quite likely it will have asbestos and possibly lead paint somewhere in it. However, buildings built after 1970 may also have asbestos and lead paint. The only way to know for sure is to have them checked and lab tested.
